Why is there a bee in our logo?
My name is Debra….Debra means ‘the bee’ in Hebrew. More importantly, the bee is symbolic of a group working together for a common cause… we are worker bees, not drones!
Bees are not born with the instinct on how to make honey. The younger bees are taught by the older bees in the colony. And…when the aging bees switch roles with the young honey bees, they keep their learning intact. That seems to be a pretty awesome dynamic going on within the hive… teaching is done by those who have done the work before, and in doing the teaching they keep their minds youthful.
Bees are pretty awesome… and very necessary. A third of the food we consume is produced by bees pollinating crops. And bees are pretty versatile; producing not only honey, but beeswax, royal jelly and propolis. Each product from the hive is unique and useful in it’s own way.
We are kind of like that …. the JBC ‘hive’ produces a variety of printables for a variety of uses.
The Waggle Dance of the Bees
When they find the perfect nectar, a worker bee will fly to the hive to share the info with her fellow bees. She does this by dancing – a dance called the Waggle Dance. This dance provides the position of the flower from the hive and the sun. Amazing!
Full transparency here…don’t expect a video anytime soon of any Waggle Dancing by the Just BeCause creators…however, if you find the perfect printable in our store, if you feel inspired and encouraged, then please…feel free to do your own version of a Waggle Dance and tell others all about us!
Blessings!
Debra
